Heavy Highway Use Tax Form
The State Requires a minimum of 3 ton all trucks.
Vehicles needing more that 27 ton of weight will be required EVERY year to file a form 2290. The is done with the IRS office and can be done online at www.irs.gov/trucker.
Here is the Instructions for Form 2290
If the tonnage is on a new vehicle you will have 60 days after purchase to file.
