The Dawson County Veterans Service Office is located in the north west corner of the courthouse on the lower level. The Veterans Service Officer is appointed by the Dawson County Board of Commissioners at their annual meeting in January of each year.
Our goals are to provide assistance and counseling to veterans and their families. We provide immediate emergency financial needs and initiate and complete claims to be submitted to the VA Regional Office or appropriate agencies.
We assist qualifying Veterans with County, State and Federal benefits. Hunting and Fishing Permits are available for 64 and older for $5.00 in this office.
